Note to Breeders: Since 1934, the VDW has prescribed a specific order for naming Wachtelhund pups. This order states, "pups from the first litter of a breeder will be named beginning with the same alphabetic letter as the first letter of their kennel name, and then follow by vom (from) and the kennel name." Subsequent litters will named with the next alphabetical letter. Example: Elfie vom Eagle River was the first pup from the first Wachtelhund litter born from Eagle River Kennels.
