For the Rest of the Story
This other breeder has plagiarized a complete document that I translated it in 1995 and put it on his web site. I have asked that he either take it down or add a used by my permission statement to give credit due. He has done neither and claims I never translated the document. This is a lie! He claims I have slandered him for calling him a plagiarizer. He is a plagiarizer and I have not slandered him.
So now the facts and nothing but the facts!!!!!!!
In 1995, there was virtually no information written on the Deutscher Wachtelhund in English. So I translated a VDW document titled, " Hinweise fur WelpenKaufer und solche, die es werden wollen" and titled it "Desired Information For the Wachtelhund Buyer". Actually this title was not correct, but it was my interpretation. The literal title translation is, "References fur Puppy Buyers and such, which it to become to want". Sometimes the German language is not as efficient as English. Now this other breeder has this same document and even titled it "Desired Information For the Wachtelhund Buyer". He has used the text and replaced the pictures. What are the chances of two individuals coming up with the same interpretation of a titled when the literal translation is something completely different. This is my work, other than his pictures. There are numerous other errors known to me, but unknown to this plagiarizer. I will reveal them when necessary. Upon creating this web site, I more correctly translated and titled it -- "VDW Training and Breeding Information".
I photocopied and mailed hard copies to hundreds of people interested in Wachtelhunds and to thirty-two people who purchased Wachtelhund pups from me, from 1995 to 1998. In 2000, the VDW replaced this document with "Tipps and Anregungen".
The translation took me over one hundred hours and required the assistance of an Air Force translator, Sergeant Barbara Bouchard. Hinweise fur WelpenKaufer und solche, die es werden wollen was written in the Jager's Latin, hunter's slang and many words are not used in the common German language. Sergeant Bouchard knew the common German, but not the Jager Latin. I knew a good part of the Jager Latin, but had trouble with the common German. When we completed the translation, Sergeant Bouchard asked for one female pup from my first litter as payment for her translation assistance. This Wachtelhund now resides with Sergeant Bouchard's father, Raymond Bouchard in Litchfield, Maine.
I have provided a scanned copy of the original and it can be viewed by clicking on, Desired Information For the Wachtelhund Buyer . The scanned copies are not very good as the original has been handle and copied a lot. The pictures were taped to the text pages. This document has my 9373 Hiland Rd, Eagle River address on it. I lived there 1993 to 1997. You can compare word for word to what is written on the plagiarist's web site. As I said the VDW replaced this document in 2000 with Tipps and Anregungen.
So now you have the facts. This may seem silly to some, but for me I think it shows one's credibility and character.
